Organizations

The selection of the partners under this proposal was based on strict criteria as to the related to the proposed project experience of participants and the quality of their work. The director of the Environmental Department of our Cultural organisation (Mr Nikolas Nikolaou) has previous experience by taking part in many seminars and actions related to Non Formal Education such as:
• Get involved, Predeal – Romania 2011
• Our White Sea IV: Youth Participation in and throughout NGOs in the Euro-Mediterranean context. _ Cyprus 2012
• Integrating multimedia elements into Non Forma Education, Estonia, 2012
• The Power of Non Formal Education – Cyprus, 2013
• BiTriMulti (BTM) – Cyprus 2013
He organized and participated in several European Environmental programs which are doing with Non Formal Education such as:
• U4 – energy 2010 – 2012
• Biodiversity of Rivers, https://www.comenius-rivers.eu/, Comenius Project, 2013 – 2015
• Climate Changes As Fast As Fashion 2013 – 2015, Youth Exchange in Youth in Action Program, 2013 – 2015, Cyprus, www.ccafaf.webnode.com
As well as several local environmental projects with groups of young people, many of them can be found in his website: www.nikolas-nikolaou.net.

The Environmental team of our organization is recently established and we want to give a European dimension to our young members who are active about the environment. Through our experience we have witnessed and worked with several organisations dealing with environmental education and are interested in a further upgrade through informal education. The selection was difficult because many are those who have already expressed their interest.  The selection of the partners was made by the following criteria:
• Be active and agencies engaged in informal education
• Be interested for the unemployment among young people
• To deal with the environment, and overall sustainable development
• Be able to implement the objectives of the project
• Their people to be in low economical status and with social – financial problems
• To offer alternative ways of learning to young people who have problems with formal education

Participants will be youth workers who are actively dealing with young people and trying to promote the Non Formal education through their organisations. An important feature of the participants will be that several members of the group will be young men and women who are already experiencing various forms of social exclusion and they are doing with youngsters which are coming under situations and obstacles such as:
a) Social and economic difficulties, as many of the participants will be from countries with financial problems (e.g. Cyprus, Greece, Romania, Italy, Bulgaria)  in relation to the rest of Europe.
b) Coping learning disability is one of the objectives of the training, so that through alternative forms of learning (Non Formal Education) participants having forms of learning difficulties will become familiar with scientific issues and will be able to develop entrepreneurship in such matters.
c) Geographical difficulties, as many will come from less advantaged regions.

All participants are working with young people who share a common vision for a truly sustainable development at European level and dreams for their personal development and progress, with common concerns and problems, with the knowledge that they have the same rights and obligations. Their basic belief is that the more active and sensitized is the dynamic youth of a society, the more feasible is to ensure the sustainability of a region and acquires special meaning and prospects of its output.

The team members will demonstrate remarkable mood for dynamic and innovative learning activities, spreading awareness and highlighting the problems and current challenges involved in Sustainable Development.
This project will push participants to play an active role in local, national and wider European society, and to realize the magnitude of need and moral obligation to address the problems, difficulties and challenges of their time in environment through innovative business ideas that will be developed during the training, before and after.

Unemployment, social exclusion and poverty are strongly phenomena affecting young people across Europe. Through this project will occur alternatives and best practices for motivating young people with fewer opportunities and raising the potential for the future, as access to both formal and non-formal education, vocational guidance and rehabilitation, local entrepreneurship, creativity, participation in initiatives that promote active citizenship and why not maybe develop innovative private initiatives related to the environment that will help young people and reduce unemployment. Making the most of their participation in the process of non-formal learning / training under this project will give participants the opportunity to gain essential skills around modern methods for the sustainable management of all natural resources of the Earth and generally their area. In this way will strengthen and personal development and social integration of the participants.

The proposed project will strengthen the positive awareness for other cultures, will actively support dialogue and inter-cultural encounters and will help fight all attitudes leading to racism, exclusion and social isolation.
Additionally will enhance young people's European "identity" and will help them to understand their role as "the present and the future of Europe." Undoubtedly, this project will promote the fundamental principles of the European Union: the principles of freedom, equality and democracy through participatory activities and actions include. Moreover, it emphasizes the need to respect human rights, at the social, cultural and economic, especially the rights associated with improved quality of life, freedom of thought and expression, the right of European youth work and education. Finally we can say that it gives participants the opportunity to gain peace with themselves which means both peace with the environment and our fellowmen.

It is critical of the fact that in such a youth mobility programs, to give the opportunity to young people with fewer opportunities to initiate and participate in an innovative action in order to gain personal skills, knowledge and attitudes to be able to explore effectively and to plan alternative ways of intervention, supply and cooperation with the rest of the community on issues that directly affect them: unemployment, opportunities for access to formal and non-formal learning activities to lift isolation in socially vulnerable groups, environmental protection and water resources.
